Overview

Mondiwa Boran was founded in 2018 by Ernest Chisango, driven by a passion for cattle breeding and a vision to excel in the livestock industry.

At Mondiwa Boran, we provide expert services to support the success of livestock breeders, universities, and farmers. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients.

Our Inspiration
Our journey into the cattle business was inspired by Panganayi Boran Stud, owned by Mussolini Ganyo. His guidance and mentorship played a significant role in shaping our understanding of the industry and its benefits. Under his tutelage, we developed a deep appreciation for Boran cattle and honed our skills as breeders.

Humble Beginnings
Our journey began with just 4 cattle – 1 pure Boran bull and 3 females. Although our initial bull did not meet expectations, we persevered and borrowed a bull from Tinashe Ganyo to ensure the continuity of our breeding program.

Rapid Growth
Determined to expand our herd, we set an ambitious target of acquiring 3 cattle per month. Through dedication and hard work, we successfully grew our herd to approximately 48 cows. A significant milestone was achieved when we acquired a pedigree Boran bull from Colin Langton, further enhancing the quality of our breeding stock.
